Cantiere Navale Italia debuts with a craft that will most certainly be noteworthy. With “Baby”, their new aluminum 13 meter tender jumps to the forefront with its unusual and very sportive lines, combined with characteristics worthy of a much larger yacht.

Cantiere Navale Italia makes its debut in the international nautical market with a clear goal: fill the gap in the market by introducing a highly researched niche model that offers the maximum in construction quality, materials, high technology and customization.

The internationally famous yacht designer Luca Dini is the author of this new project, where the hull is the primary focus of the design. Hull shape is an active part of the boat's styling: not only does it provide stability and shape, but it represents the spirit of the whole yacht.

The choice of aluminum was of primary importance to the Cantiere Navale Italia, as the most valued and hardy material on the market. It appeals directly to the most exigent and competent clientele who require an extremely reliable vessel, the result of in-depth research and technical excellence.

Aluminum clearly exhibits characteristics and advantages that are obvious to all: despite its elegance and aristocratic heritage, aluminum is a very tough, low maintenance alloy. It's strength doesn't depend on thickness, and its light weight allows for thinner plates. Smaller engines can therefore be installed without sacrificing performance, while making real gains in fuel efficiency.

The Cantiere Navale Italia's “Baby” was created using the concepts associated with super-yacht alloy construction, and concentrating in her size all the characteristics usually found in a larger yacht. “A fighter plane without wings” is how her designer Luca Dini defined her, “a sporty boat that has perfect proportions, that really looks like a fighter, powerful and efficient thanks to state-of-the-art technology.”

Her hull form is a planing V shape, with a variable geometry 16.8° dead-rise at the stern and lifting strakes to increase dynamic stability.

The design of her lines was undertaken using a large number of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, ascertaining the optimal shape of the hull and evaluating performance and resistance characteristics together with optimal hull trim and hydrodynamic flow at different speeds.
Cantiere Navale Italia has paid particular attention to hull entry shape and chine proportions and positioning to obtain a fast yet comfortable hull form.

Her flush and elegant lines, unspoiled by any interruptions, are enriched by the novel solution of a smooth, single component state-of-the-art instrument panel with the steering wheel the only interruption. A hi-tech dashboard, singularly innovative, integrated and computerized, specifically designed for the owner who wants to use the boat in complete privacy and without a skipper. The dashboard is logical and intuitive, completely digital, equipped with the best safety systems to deal with any kind of problem while at sea, allowing the owner to have complete control of the vessel even in emergency situations.

On deck, tables and settees are located forward, with a spacious walk-around sun bathing area aft, along with a useful and attractive hard top.

The “Baby's” internal layout foresees a roomy washroom with separate shower, full accessorized galley and cabin with large double bed, making her a tender completely equipped for short cruises.

Her colors, exclusively created for Cantiere Navale Italia, are very special and exciting. They are an integral part of the boat's concept, never banal, characterized by elegant and technological styling.

“Baby” will be a high performance tender. Propulsion will be two Yanmar 370hp diesel stern drives, giving her a maximum speed of 43 to 45 knots.

Following an industrial development plan, Cantiere Navale Italia has already begun construction of the first 13m hull, with launch foreseen for the spring of 2015. The yard will also launch a 57' model, part of a gamma that will range from 43' to 90'.

Cantiere Navale Italia will give each client the possibility to customize their vessel according to their wishes. The mood of the “Baby” line gives the client the pleasure of customizing colors, therefore her image and esthetics. For the other models, the yard will allow the client to customize interior layouts, furnishings and décor: a tailor-made aluminum suit.

Regarding distribution and sales, Cantiere Navale Italia will concentrate on three areas of macro activity, with a representative for each zone: Europe, the United States and the Far East.

Distribution of their yachts will be assigned to trusted dealers in each country.
