"Eataly" | Genoa Boat Show adds another Italian Source of Exellence

GenovaBoatShow1 Boating enthusiasts now have another reason to visit the 2014 Genoa Boat Show where the best of boat‐building and authentic Italian food and drink meet.

The 2014 Boat Show will open soon and there's great news for everyone, be they the operators or visitors who will throng the stands and quays at the event to be held in Genoa from 1 to 6 October: during the show, the whole catering network will be managed by the Eataly brand, which promotes and builds awareness on the quality of Italian food.

The heart of this collaboration will lie in the Food Court, an elegant area fitted out in the Sailing World, the new area dedicated to sailing and nautical tourism while, there will be lots of street food corners at different key points throughout the exhibition. These will offer visitors high quality "street food" interpreted in pure Italian style. The main aim of the Eataly brand is to build awareness about typical Italian produce and to emphasise traceability and distribution at sustainable prices. The brand focuses on the culture of "eating well" through the stories and
histories of the people and companies who make it real.

So, while the beating heart of the show will obviously be the boats and water, the new Food Court will be where visitors go to relax and find comfort. The Food Court will host food related events and, thanks to collaboration with Yamaha ‐ Musical Instruments, various jazz bands will take turns to entertain visitors and operators in a glamorous yet lively setting.

"The collaboration with Eataly goes perfectly with our launch programme," says Francesco Anton Albertoni, the President of Saloni Nautici SpA. "It lets us stay faithful to the two key points of our project: to improve the system of services and infrastructures and to make the experience of visiting the show more pleasant, while at the same time building awareness about Italian products through partnerships with the best known and recognised brand names".

Oscar Farinetti, the founder and president of Eataly, said: "We are honoured to be handling the catering at the Genoa Boat Show. It is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate two fields of Italian excellence: boat building and authentic food and drink, which are key assets for our country both
at home and abroad".

The collaboration with Eataly bears further witness to the hard work involved in reorganising the Genoa Boat Show to promote the value of the Italian boat sector. It would seem that all the hard work is appreciated, judging from the constant increase in demand from exhibitors and the significant number of requests from media and accredited buyers who flock here from all over the world during the show.
